Nuno felted scarf

NB: Registration for members opens Friday, Nov 3, for non-members Saturday Nov 4 at 12:00pm.

Description: Come learn the latest in felt fashion, Nuno Felting, combining fine wool with fine woven silk to make a fabulous new fabric that drapes wonderfully. Each student will make a beautiful unique scarf using fine merino wool and hand dyed silk in a range of colours. You will learn how to lay out wool for different effects, how to handle raw edges, and apply yarns and other fibers for effect. The skills you learn in this beginner class will allow you to make nuno felt which makes a great fabric on its own or for cutting and sewing.

Prerequisite: None

Students should bring: Waterproof clothing, towels, and scissors

Materials fee: $25 includes all materials required for the workshop, reusable items to keep and written instructions

Cancellation Policy: Cancellations less than 8 weeks before the workshop will be subject to a 25% cancellation fee. Cancellations less than 2 weeks before start date will not be refunded. If you must cancel please email the Workshops Registrar at workshops@ovwsg.com.
