Remembering/Reimagining, 75 years of the Ottawa Valley Weavers’ and Spinners’ Guild

To celebrate the OVWSG’s 75th anniversary, we will be presenting the exhibition Remembering/Reimagining, 75 years of the Ottawa Valley Weavers’ and Spinners’ Guild at the Mississippi Valley Textile Musuem in Almonte, ON from October 12 to December 21, 2024.

And we need your work! We need your weaving, spinning, felting and basketry.

We need your skeins of hand-spun, tea towels, scarves, shawls, rugs, felted landscapes , felted sculptures, baskets, tools, everything that members of the Guild make.

The deadline for submissions is September 15.

Diamonds

Diamond is the traditional 75th anniversary gem stone so to celebrate the Ottawa Valley Weavers’ and Spinners’ Guild 75th anniversary, the theme for this year’s exhibition at the 2024 Sale & Ex is Diamonds.

Be it shape, structure or sparkle, we are looking for work from OVWSG members that explores the theme diamonds in all it’s facets (see what we did there).

The deadline for submissions is October 20.
