Description: Try out various forms of lustrous silk for spinning from cocoons, noils, hankies/caps, rovings and combed tops. Learn preparation techniques and explore the properties of silk alone and in blends with other fibres to create luxurious yarns.

Prerequisite: Spinning 2 – Wheel or able to spin a continuous yarn on a wheel

Students should bring: A well-tuned spinning wheel and any fibre preparation tools that they may have.

Materials fee: Approximately $35 includes all the materials required for the workshop.
