This is a “by request” workshop.  The students requesting the workshop have until 6 July 2024 to register with reserved tickets after which regular tickets will be available for any remaining spots.  Please ensure you are able to attend ALL dates, skills learned are cumulative so missing a class is challenging for the student.

Description: Are you ready to tackle weaving on a 4 shaft table loom? In this four day workshop, you will gain a comprehensive introduction to the mysteries of calculating and winding a warp, dressing a loom, understanding basic weave structures, reading and writing weaving drafts, and finishing a fabric. You will wind and weave at least two cotton warps producing two lengths of simple cloth.

Prerequisite: None

Students should bring: Notebook, large scale graph paper, pencil, eraser, and ruler.

Materials fee: $30 includes all the materials required for the workshop.

NOTE:  RESERVED Tickets are to be used by specific individuals such as those on a waiting list.  Please do not register with this ticket unless you have been directed to do so by the Workshops Registrar.

If you prefer not to pay online pick "Offline Payment" to pay with a cheque. You will receive an email detailing where to send your cheque. Please note that your spot in the workshop is not reserved until your payment is processed.

Cancellation Policy: Cancellations less than 8 weeks before the workshop will be subject to a 25% cancellation fee. Cancellations less than 2 weeks before start date will not be refunded. If you must cancel please email the Workshops Registrar at workshops@ovwsg.com.
