Description: This one day workshop will help you become comfortable with your spinning and learn how to enjoy your wheel. We will explore different techniques of spinning, the characteristics of different fibres, healthy spinning practices, and iron out any problems you may have in the process! You will need to be able to spin on a wheel but you don’t need to be proficient…the object is fun and relaxation!

Prerequisite: Spinning 2 – Wheel or able to comfortably spin a continuous yarn on a wheel.

Students should bring: Working spinning wheel. If there are issues, we will try to fix them!  You may also use a Guild spinning wheel.

Materials fee: $25 for variety of different types of fibres (wool, silk, mohair, alpaca) in different forms: uncarded wool, roving, rolags, carded, top, etc.

Cancellation Policy: Cancellations less than 8 weeks before the workshop will be subject to a 25% cancellation fee. Cancellations less than 2 weeks before start date will not be refunded. If you must cancel please email the Workshops Registrar at workshops@ovwsg.com.
