Many workshops are not scheduled but can be offered by request.
By Request for Groups
(If you don’t already have a group of people use the Lonely Learners Form below this one)
To make a group request for a particular workshop please follow these steps:
- Choose a topic—this can be a workshop from the suggested “By Request” list at the end of each section of the catalogue or another of your choosing. Those on the suggested list already have instructors available, however, the Registrar will work with you to find instructors for other topics.
- Collect a group of at least 4 students—ask your friends, post in the OVWSG groups on Face-book or Ravelry.com, put a note in the newsletter, or make an announcement at a meeting, demo or social. The onus is on prospective students to put groups together. Use the By Request form below to provide details of your request.
- Request Coordinator will set up the workshop for you based on your request and the availability of the instructor and classroom space. She will then contact your workshop group and finalize dates, times and costs with you.
Lonely Learners
Should you strongly desire a particular workshop or topic but be unable to find fellow students please complete the Lonely Learners form. The By Request Coordinator will track these requests and assist in connecting you with other potential students.
Email addresses will be used to connect members to other members. Non-members will be connected through the By Request coordinator. Email addresses will only be shared between members unless consent is given to share with a non-member.
Once the coordinator connects like minded students it is the group’s responsibility to complete the Group Request form. Once this is received the By Request Coordinator will proceed with the scheduling process.
